Privacy Policy
Protocol Version 1.0
1. Introduction
At Hardware Tester, your privacy is ingrained in our architecture. We understand that your hardware data and peripheral inputs are private. This policy outlines our commitment to transparency and our "Client-Side First" data processing model.
2. Client-Side Diagnostic Data
All diagnostic audits—including keyboard inputs, mouse movements, gyroscope data, and spectrum analysis—are processed strictly CLIENT-SIDE. This means the logic runs entirely within your browser's memory. No hardware data is transmitted to, stored on, or processed by our servers.
3. Media & Sensor Permissions
When utilizing tools like the Mic Checker, Webcam Tester, or Motion Sensor Audit, your browser will ask for temporary permissions. These streams are used only for real-time visualization and mathematical analysis on your screen. We do not—and technically cannot—record, save, or transmit any audio, video, or sensor data.
4. Minimal Data Collection
We use anonymized analytics (such as page views and general location) to help us improve the site. We do not collect names, emails, or any personal identifiers unless you proactively contact us via our form.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party advertising partners (like Google AdSense) to keep our tools free. These partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can always opt-out of personalized advertising through your browser or Google's ad settings.
